Indonesian Youth Pledge of 1928

During the Dutch colonial era, the Indonesian Youth Congress was held three times. However, the Indonesian Youth Congress I had not been able to produce a decision that brought about the unity of all youth.

The Indonesian Youth Congress will take place in Jakarta on October 27-28. The center of the congress was held in the Indonesische Club Building at 11. Kramat Raya 106, but the whole session was held in three places.

Youth worked hard to prepare everything needed, including putting together a congressional committee. On the closing night of October 28, 1928, the Indonesian Youth Congress Il made the following decision. The Jakarta Indonesian Youth Congress on 30 April - 2 May 1926 was attended by all youth organizations with the following congresses being agreed on, namely:

a. Received the Indonesia Raya song "by W.R. Supratman as the national anthem of Indonesia.
b. Receive the "Red and White as the Indonesian Flag.
c. All youth organizations are merged into one with the name Indonesia Muda (national character in a broad sense).
d. He pledged "Youth Pledge" by all youth representatives present. Fill out the Youth Pledge Pledge :
  • We are sons and daughters of Indonesia, claiming to be blood-sworn in one, Indonesia homeland.
  • We are sons and daughters of Indonesia, recognizing one nation, the nation of Indonesia
  • We are sons and daughters of Indonesia, upholding the language of unity, the Indonesian language.
